- You may want to repay a loan more quickly - if so, find out if there is an early repayment penalty.
- Interest free credit (0%APR) can appear to be a good deal, but you may end up paying higher amounts for purchases than you would otherwise pay.
- Your repayments can go up as well as down if you take out a loan with a variable interest rate.
- Ensure you have the finances to keep up monthly payments. Your credit rating may be affected if you are unable to keep up repayments.
- If you do have problems making your monthly payment contact your loan provider as soon as possible to see if they can offer alternative arrangements for you.
- Terms and conditions are important, so make sure you read and understand credit agreements before signing.
